Factoid: Antarctic krill expel aggregates of phytoplankton and excrement that contain significant amounts of carbon.  They are heavy and sink in waters around Antarctica that are over a mile deep.  This sequesters carbon dioxide for about 1,000 years, possibly, the Earth’s largest biofeedback mechanism.
