Wheels & Wings Festival and 5K
In 2017, the Club announced the first annual Wheels & Wings Festival and 5K at Lancaster Airport. This unique event kicks off with a 5K run for all ages followed by a car show/fly-in event featuring food venders and live music. The event has grown to over 1,000 attendees, over 300 cars, over 100 runners and walkers, and 15 airplane and 2 helicopters at last count.
Registration is required for all vehicles, airplanes, and runners. General admission is free with a suggested donation of $5 per car requested for parking.
The Festival offers cash prizes, door prizes, and a raffle.
Proceeds from the Wheels and Wings Festival and 5K supports Rotary of Lancaster initiatives in our community and internationally. The Rotary Club of Lancaster partners with the School District of Lancaster to address poverty by funding summer youth experiences, mentoring and reading programs and supporting the Refugee Center and Community School. Internationally, Rotary is committed to eradicating polio and promoting peace, education and clean drinking water by building local economies from within. Your support makes it happen!
