The carpet from Delhi came about a week after I got home. The chair and table that I bought from Jaipur Handicrafts arrived about a week later in perfect condition. The carpet was carefully rolled and protected with packing material, bubble wrap and sealed. The chair and table were packed separately in custom made metal trunks with hinges and locks.

The chair is an Indian wooden folding chair whose two parts can be nested for carrying or storing. The hand painting on the back is of a Mughal king riding a royal elephant. What is ironic is that the chair is very similar to one I have on my Boy Scout website at http://scouters.us/homeproj.html. Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouting, started his military career in India in 1876. So, who knows, perhaps B-P sat in this chair ;-)

The table was sold to me in India as a camel saddle. However, it actually is an Indian ox-cart table made from an ornate old merchant ox cart. It is very heavy and very sturdy. The legs were originally part of wooden ox cart wheels. It is made of Indian Rosewood.
